Blog Entry: A small amount of anime has been confirmed. Usually, not that much anime comes out in Winter . All the good stuff come out in Spring and Fall :P But hey, anime is still anime and everyone wants to keep in update 8D January 2009 . Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GO GO! Official Site Synopsis: It is said that every few years, there is what’s known as the "Summer of Anu." During that summer, thanks to the divine protection of the sky-god Anu, all of the demons in the tower lose their power. The country of Uruk has begun an invasion of the tower in order to suppress the demons. They’ve built up positions inside the tower, with their sights set on getting to the upper levels. The Uruk army knows that this is the third Summer of Anu-a perfect time to launch a mission to suppress the monster Druaga once and for all. The army soldiers aren’t the only ones in the tower, though. An enitre city called Meskia has formed inside the tower’s first floor. It plays host not just to soldiers, but also to adventurers who have heard rumors about a legendary treasure called the Blue Crystal Rod, which is said to rest at the very top of the tower. With all these different groups in the mix, each with its own agenda, one can only guess how things will play out during this unusual summer. She meets a captivating freshman named Mariya who fits her criteria — except her seemingly ideal mate happens to be a cross-dressing sadistic boy. Thoughts: This anime says fanservice all over it. A girl trying to find her destined yuri partner…? Crossdressing? Bleh :P Doesn’t sound like a series I really want to watch. I see that Shaft is producting… i like their animation, but i never liked any of the anime produced by Shaft. I should watch this anime if it has 5 seasons. And they’re all highly rated @_@;; Anime : Tetsuwan Birdy Decode 2nd Season Producers: A-1 Pictures Inc. Links: Myanimelist AniDB Sypnopsis : Tsutomu Senkawa is an average high school kid who is busy studying for his senior entrance exams. Tsutomu goes out for some fresh air, after a hard day’s work studying for a big test, when he runs into a guy fleeing from a pretty young lady. The pursued man is actually an interplanetary criminal on the run from a Federation agent called Birdy Cephon Altera. Caught in the midst of this chase, Tsutomu gets thrown by the man at Birdy, which kills Tsutomu. Fortunately for Tsutomu, there is a way to keep him alive, although it comes at the price of discarding his body. He ends up merged into Birdy’s body. Official Site Wikipedia Synopsis: The work recounts the life of a son of a Japanese emperor, known to readers as Hikaru Genji, or "Shining Genji". Neither appellation is his actual name: Genji (源氏, Genji) is simply another way to read the Chinese characters for the real-life Minamoto clan (源の氏, Minamoto-no-Uji), to which Genji was made to belong. For political reasons, Genji is relegated to commoner status (by being given the surname Minamoto) and begins a career as an imperial officer. The tale concentrates on Genji’s romantic life and describes the customs of the aristocratic society of the time. Much is made of Genji’s good looks. His most important personality trait is the loyalty he shows to all the women in his life, as he never abandons any of his wives. When he finally becomes the most powerful man in the capital, he moves into a palace and provides for each of them. Anime : KuroKami The Animation Links : Official Site . Myanimelist Synopsis: Wending his way home after a bender one evening, master moocher and game programmer Keita Ibuki decides to satisfy a craving for ramen at a noodle stand. Instead of slurping soup, though, he surrenders his meal to a manic girl who, unbeknownst to Keita, is a Mototsumitama, a guardian of the coexistence equilibrium. When his new acquaintance is attacked, Keita gets caught in the crossfire and loses an arm. Awakening from the shock of his injury, Keita finds himself back in his apartment… arm intact! But just whose arm is it?! Asking the strange girl raiding his refrigerator reveals only that Keita’s life has become a great deal more complicated. Official Site ANN Synopsis: The story revolves around Natsume, a boy who has been able to see ghosts since he was little. Unfortunately, humans shun him, and there is not much fondness between him and ghosts either. One day, he inherits a Yūjin-Chō ("Book of Friends") from his grandmother. The book is actually full of contracts that his grandmother made to trap ghosts. Anime: Viper’s Creed Links: http://www.animax.co.jp/10th/special/vc.php Japanese Air Date: January 6 ANN Synopsis The Story revolves around the members of a private military company (PMC), and the uneasy tension between them and the regular military after a war that caused massive environmental destruction Thoughts: I dig the story premise, I could use some edgy action this season. However, the fact that they are using the director of Appleseed makes me cautious. Sure, that movie looked wonderful and was nice and pretty in its action, but the story was pathetic. I had to fast forward through most of the dialogue scenes it was so bad. Megume Toyoguchi (Revy in Black Lagoon at least gives me some hope because she knows how to voice a tough woman.
