Not bad for a title that was very nearly cancelled.

Boy, you guys have a lot to say about our Men and Women of the Year lists. So far, we've revealed our top-nine choices for the men and the women. Our big reveal, for both lists, happens Thursday.
Undoubtedly, Tokio Hotel fans were stoked to see the band's frontman making the list at #6. They flooded the site with their excitement over his nomination. "Thanks, James Montgomery, for listing my favorite man in the world, Bill Kaulitz, in that list, even though I wanted him to be #1, because he deserves it," iambillkaulitzwife wrote. "But thanks for putting him in #6 anyways. You made my day!" And much like Camilla Belle, the male nominations also pitted Twilighters (Robert Pattinson placed at #4 on the list) against JoBro fans. "RPattz shoulda been NUMERO UNO!" monica_cullen wrote. "Seriously ... Joe Jonas? Ummm ... ew." There were people who felt there were glaring omissions. "Wow, they have the JoBros on here but not Ne-Yo?" Awall207 wrote. "I'm sorry, but Ne-Yo is an amazing artist and his album was amazing this year. And if Lil Wayne is #1, I'll be pissed. His music sucks and his lyrics are meaningless."
Another critic of the list couldn't really place who was missing from it but just had the feeling that someone was definitely missing. "This list is wack out of order," Muzik24 wrote. "That [guy] from 'Twilight' made one stupid teenage movie, which was probably one of the worst movies this year. Why is he on the list? Anyone who has done something all year long deserves to be on the list. Who works for MTV these days? Really, it's horrible." The nominations for the ladies are infuriating people just as much. A lot of people were hoping that Britney would be #1, but she's not. Sorry to SmokeMamaHome, who guessed, "Britney will obviously be #1." Meanwhile, for every Britney fan, there are the detractors who have other ideas for Woman of the Year. "Hayley Williams is #1 to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" tokiohotellove wrote. "I mean, Britney is seriously starting to bore me." "I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy Perry's inclusion stirred up more apathy than controversy. "Ehh ... Katy Perry?" Nata_[THFreaxxx] wrote. "Okay." Although some people were confused that Beyoncé made the list twice, djbaps saw it as a fitting runner-up prize. "Beyoncé is the #1 woman of the year to me!!! But luv that she's on the countdown twice. She's the best!!" There are some who think Beyoncé is boring and that perhaps the successor to her throne should have been considered for the top spot. "Rihanna should have been #1," rorymaynor wrote. "No other female in the game has had a year like her. Three #1 songs in one year, a CoverGirl [ad] and the new face of a Gucci campaign." Who do you think the Man and Woman of the Year should be? Tell us now!

Fable 2 DLC Christmas Canceled

Fable II's first downloadable content pack, Knothole Island, isn't going to make appearances under the Christmas tree this year. The expansion has been delayed, according to an update to Microsoft's "Download and Win" contest page. Citing "unexpected technical difficulties," which is starting to sound like a Fable II tradition, the Knothole Island expansion will instead ship "late January 2009." It was originally planned for a mid-December release when it was announced in November. Obviously, that means the Download and Win contest associated with its release has also been temporarily suspended. It's OK, Lionhead, I'm always late for everything too. We're sure everyone will find something else with those 800 Microsoft Points.

2009 XBOX 360 year?
Microsoft did OK in 2008. But there’s always room for improvement! So it’s with a grim sense of predictability that Microsoft are predicting they'll sell more 360s in 2009. The prediction comes from Xbox Asia's Alan Bowman, who thinks the console - buoyed by cheaper prices, improving performance in the Japanese market and the onset of Chinese New Years - can do better in '09 than it did in '08. That's for his local markets, anyways. In terms of the global market, Bowman says that, with money tight, more people will want to stay at home and be entertained. And that means they'll buy video games, something we've already seen holding true for Bowman's home country. Bowman also stresses that, despite economic woes, falling share prices and mass layoffs elsewhere in the industry, Microsoft don't have any major cost-cutting moves in place, and will continue to invest in games development:
Game development is the core of what we do. Microsoft is a software company by heart, and we will continue to work with our partners and by ourselves to develop new software for the market.

L.A. Times: It was a meeting of the minds Monday between Lakers point guard Jordan Farmar and Coach Phil Jackson. They talked about differences in philosophies and styles of play. By Tuesday night, Farmar seemed disgruntled, the telling sign coming when Jackson yanked him out of the game against New York 4:01 into the fourth quarter and the 6-foot-2 point guard stormed off the court and exchanged words with his coach. Farmar played just nine minutes against the Knicks. On Wednesday after practice, Farmar sounded more disillusioned about his role when he talked about his meeting in Jackson’s office at the team’s practice facility. “He didn’t call me up there, I asked to talk to him — to vent,” Farmar said. “Just trying to get some things across.” It was as if Farmar popped into the “principal’s office,” Jackson said. “I felt he was frustrated.” Earlier in the season, Jackson allowed Farmar the freedom to run the fastbreak, to run more pick and rolls on offense and less of the triangle offense. Now, Farmar said, Jackson wants him to be more precise, to run the triangle offense and throttle down on the fastbreak when it’s not there.

Konami Games Silent Hill DDR Frogger for Iphone
Metal Gear isn't the only Konami cash-cow that can make the jump to the iPhone. It's been announced tonight that two further Konami franchises - Silent Hill and DDR - will be joining it. Sorry, make that three. Frogger's coming along for the ride as well.

Silent Hill will be a touch-screen port of the mobile game Silent Hill: The Escape. So nothing really new there. The Dance Dance Revolution title - DDR S Lite - looks a little more suited to the touch-screen, although without the dancing, it doesn't really have much of a point.

And Frogger? Well, it's plain old Frogger, and considering the waking nightmare most iPhone ports have been over the past few months, it...well, it may actually turn to be the best of the lot.
