Step of Ormazd Red This is a special wall jump that is automatically directed. Each red power plate leads to its own destination. Sometimes red power plates will link directly to each other, allowing Elika and the Prince to perform multiple super jumps in a row. Hand of Ormazd Blue This is a special grappling swing that is automatically directed. Each blue power plate leads to its own destination. Like the red power plates, blue power plates are extremely easy to use. Wings of Ormazd Yellow This is a special rail-guided flight. Each yellow power plate brings Elika and the Prince along the same flight path, but the heroes can lean slightly in any direction (by pressing the left stick) to avoid structures that may block them. Breath of Ormazd Green This is a special wall run. Each green power plate sends the Prince toward a general direction, but he can shift sideways (by pressing the left stick) to avoid obstacles in the way. Such obstacles include pits, wall hangings, and other structures, making the green power plates a bit more challenging to use than the rest.

The main enemies Tips the hunter at the Ruined Citadel the alchemist at The Vale the concubine at the Royal Palace warrior at the City of Light
To open the black gates that lead to the main enemies, the heroes must heal all the fertile grounds where the enemies are located. The lesser servitors will also show up from time to time, but these minor bad guys take more time to appear The hunter at the Ruined Citadel
uses the sword-only defense state or a magic-only defense state. He spits black gunk into the Prince's eyes, causing the screen to become blotted out, but the Prince can keep blocking until the gunk wears off. The alchemist at The Vale
is a bit easier than his pals, probably because he doesn't deflect the Prince's attacks as frequently. He tends to enter a magic-only defense state. He also has a forward spike attack that is longer than it looks at first. For a faster victory against him, try knocking him off a ledge. The concubine at the Royal Palace
takes more time to deal with, as she likes to send out illusions that the Prince needs to eliminate before she actually approaches to fight. She can enter a lift-only defense state or a magic-only defense state. She can also zap the Prince's brains with a purple beam that reverses his basic movement controls, but this beam is otherwise harmless. Combat Tips When the characters are knocked against the edge of an arena, they will go through a special backed-against-the-wall sequence. The Prince can exploit this sequence to quickly win many of the battles against the main enemies, as well as all encounters against the minor bad guys. For an easier time in doing so, the Prince can simply let his foes knock him against an edge, so he can immediately switch sides with them and then push them back. The heroes can never die in this game. If the Prince is getting his butt kicked, Elika will reset the battle. The heroes win in combat once they reduce the enemies' life to zero, although some of the bad guys' life will also be restored if the battles are reset.
